Artcrank is a poster show for bike people. While originally just starting in a few small communities, it has now become a global touring show. While each show is different and attempts to spotlight local artists, there's always one running theme - Bikes.
While I'm not a huge biker, I do support their cause. Cars burn gas, harm the environment, and make people fat. Bikes burn fat, make people lean, and do a lot to un-clutter roads and urban areas. With this in mind I wanted to make a reminder for myself. Something that would remind me not to take the car every time I was about to step out the door. It's a simple message, and a simple execution that I think come together to be quite powerful.
The poster was screen printed with two colors on French Smart White. The bright salmon color is actually a mix of day-glow pink and day-glow orange, something that cameras seem to not be able to adequately capture, these things are bright.
